Has there any thought been made to ensuring that archive updates are atomic? I'm not generally familiar with the process, but it would seem that if new packages are uploaded, old packages retained, Packages lists saved to temporary locations, then overwritten, and finally, old packages removed, the integrity problems we're seeing would be less frequent. There's also the issue of cross-site synchronization for round-robin DNS hosts, as http.us.debian.org: http.us.debian.org A 204.152.189.120 http.us.debian.org A 141.213.4.21 http.us.debian.org A 192.25.206.10 http.us.debian.org A 35.9.37.225 Just a thought.
