Because all 2.4 kernels are unstable heaps of crap?
I'm not going to use a 2.4 kernel after Alan Cox has taken over
maintenance of the 2.4 kernel, has resolved the riel/linus/arcangeli
VM mess, and has done 2 or 3 releases.
