es_US would be spanish as used in the US, wouldn't it?

How about this:  "United States" maps to:

        Please choose a language
                a) english
                b) spanish

and a) would map to en_US and b) to es_US.

Well, kdelibs2g installed /usr/share/locale/en_UK/LC_MESSAGES/kde.mo here.
