Please don't *force* color, there are some ${ARCH}'s that can't cope with that,
such as the "Hardware Console" on S/390.
I imagine that it might also annoy those using a serial console.
The problem is very similar to the one with fsck assuming that everybody wants
the "-C" flag in /etc/init.d/check{fs,root}.sh
It's a bummer watching that stupid propeller at 9600,N,8,1
It's also a bummer watching all those escape-characters mess up a nice logo
on a non-ANSI-capable console.
