How about filing bugs against these packages asking the maintainers to
recompile them? None of them are officially orphaned, though some of them look
like they should be. Here is the list of source packages (I found 8):

arla (uninstallable, broken, apparently unmaintained, and probably obsoleted by
	OpenAFS)

jmon (wishlist #93938, no maintainer response)
netris (wishlist #93943, no maintainer response)
ngs-js (wishlist #102475, no maintainer response)
wxd (wishlist #102472, no maintainer response)

hdlant (non-free)
infocom (non-free)
moria (non-free)

Those, and ncurses4.2 are the only packages which depend on libncurses4 on
i386. None of them are (officially) orphaned.

If nobody objects, I'll file a bug against ftp.debian.org to have arla removed.
Its two grave bugs (1 year/92 days and 270 days old) have never received any
response from the maintainer. It didn't make it into potato, probably because
of these bugs, and it won't make it into woody either, unless someone adopts
it. It probably doesn't even work with recent kernels, while OpenAFS does and
is actively being developed and maintained.
