But FHS says there should be /opt/bin and /opt/man for the local admin
to use, and packages may ask to install e.g. symlinks in these dirs.
A deb could have things in these places I think, and they shoud be in
your PATH and MANPATH.  Maybe we should file a wishlist bug to
base-files?
