No need to get angry. I only pointed out that my opinion regarding this 
issue is that it would fit better into /boot. 

> lids.conf will stay in /etc.

That's your decision as the package maintainer. Of course I forgot that
the kernel patch would search in /etc anyway. So just leave it as it is.
