Have you seen the Linux Terminal Server Project(LTSP)?[1]  The name's
a spoof on the Windoze Terminal Server for the benefit of the
Micro$oft-centric marketroids.  I haven't looked at the project since
I left my sysadmin job last April, so I don't know where they're at,
but they might be a good resource for ideas if anything.
