Doesn't work with df:

% POSIXLY_CORRECT=1 df /
Filesystem          512-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
                      11534856   1223176   9725736  12% /

% df -P /
Filesystem         1024-blocks      Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1   5767428    611588   4862868      12% /
