Lintian problem with Safe::Hole perl module

Safe::Hole is a Perl module which has the following line:

require 5.005;

In the control file I use:
Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, ${perl:Depends}

dpkg-deb --info tells me:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.1.2), perl-5.005

but lintian complains:
E: libsafe-hole-perl: script-needs-perl-version ./usr/lib/perl5/5.005/i386-linux/Safe/Hole.pm 5.005
N:
N: The package contains a perl script that requires a specific version of
N: perl, but the package does not depend on at least that version of perl
N:   or perl-base.
N:

Is this a lintian bug or is their another explanation for this puzzling
behaviour.
I'm running an up-to-date potato system.

Bye
        Racke
