Loop devices and psmisc

G'day All,
  I'm trying to fix psmisc so it no longer uses losetup but directly
finds the information it needs.  If you look at bug #58714 the submitter
has suggested a way of doing this using an ioctl.

However, the latest include (linux/loop.h) prevents directly accessing
the structure.

Does anyone else who has a better idea on how loop devices work have
a suggestion similar to the patch described in the bug report?  I must
be pretty close to fixing this.
