There really wasn't a big change in the server included with the
NIS package between 3.6 and 3.8. I don't understand why it wouldn't
work with HP/UX. Unfortunately, I don't have HP/UX clients in my
network, so for me it's impossible to debug - some kind person has
to do that and see what's up.
However you implied that you had more problems than that?
