When I switch back from X (4.0.1, neomagic chipset) on my omnibook 800 the textconsole is very pale, the contrast and brightness are very low. I have not run X on notebooks before and do not whether it is a hardware, X or console problem. Who knows what kind of phenomenon this is and how to fix it?
