How do i do this? Unfortunatelly I havbe a daemon which dont write a pid
file and which can't be run as daemon. So i have to start it with "daemon &"
and killing it by start-stop-daemon --exec daemon will produce an error
code if the daemon was not running or if the daemon can't be stoped.. dont
know how to detect which of both is the problem. Never seen a init script
which did that right, even the one in the policy manual isbroken.

Greetings
