You misinterpreted people's use of the term "Debian". Not everyone who said
"Awww, but Debian must include <insert-my-non-free-app>!" thought of the
Official Debian distribution, I'm (almost) certain they would be satisfied
with any place on the Debian site(s) that they could get to, and find .debs
there that were made by someone from Debian, and are following Debian's
(high) standards. The Social Contract does not forbid that, most definitely.
