Well, you were wrong.

'Producing the best operating system possible'  (assuming by best you
meant technically best, which seems to be reasonable in context) has
never been the /primary/ goal of debian.

Although it's certainly /a/ goal.

The /primary/ goal of debian has always been to support the Free
Software community. Whether or not supporting the Free Software
community is best served by this GR or not is exactly what we're
arguning about.
