Yes. IIRC debians ftpd is a port of openbsd 2.2. I can offer to update the
package ftpd to this more recent version and send my patches to Herbert Xu
(the current maintainer of ftpd).
I think he should decide if I should upload this as a serperate package or
if I should just make some patches (I contaced him about this in 12/99,
but no decision was made).
