Gnome debs by Helix Code

Hello list,

Here's an interesting post by Nat Friedman <nat@helixcode.com>
at Gnome Gnotices:
http://news.gnome.org/gnome-news/958714217/958741435/958765037/
(Also read the excellent original question by Stuart at
http://news.gnome.org/gnome-news/958714217/)

I think it would be very cool indeed if Helix Code developers could take
over
the maintainership of the core Gnome packages. That would ensure the
best
possible functionality of Gnome on Debian.
So what do you Debian Gnome guys think about that? Are you willing to
cooperate with the Helix Code hackers?

On the other hand they're employees of Helix Code _Inc_. <- Is this bad?
Is it totally unacceptable if a commercial company is participating
Debian project? But the software they produce is and will always be as
free
as it can be. So I don't see a conflict here but maybe someone does.

Best regards,
Tuomas Jormola <tj@sgic.fi>
Not a Debian develoeper (yet)
