I know that I would find it truly helpful to have fresh gnome/gtk
debs/libs to link against. We have always been behind and at least one
of my upstream authors bitches that the reason this program has problems
is our "outdated" gnome stuff. (Mostly this is just an excuse for him,
but...)

It's still all under the same license as the regular gnome stuff? I
wouldn't see a problem unless it's been changed somehow.
