Also the problem was with CTRL+SHIFT+1 *not* CTRL+SHIFT+F1. Sorry about that. Okay, remove the F from the example I gave. It still works (and for CTRL+SHIFT+1). I don't know what to tell you -- if it works in xterm then the key events are getting propogated down to the client level. Maybe a bad config or bug elsewhere is eating them. -- G.
