OK, how about this fictive bug report:

| My keyboard changes to XT mode when I turn NumLock off, so I have it
| turned on to make the keys work [otherwise the layout is all messed up].
| I can use the keyboard just fine in almost any program, however,
| mc doesn't let me change directories if NumLock is on. It just beeps.

Quoting from the wterm bug report that caused this:

| I use LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R and Xkb to use Russian characters.
| I can enter Russian letter almost everywhere (including xterm) but
| cannot enter them in wterm. It simply print nothing.

I hope you noticed the similarity. :)
