Still the default behaviour should not mean you lose mail. I would vote
for switching antispam off by default. If you are hit by spam you can
switch it on later.
It's too easy to have the smtp processor rejecting mails. I think even the
default sendmail configuration for local delivery only did not accept mail
to localhost. At least fetchmail was unable to deliver (lucky me I had
noflush set ;))
