Re: [leganii@surfree.com: Re: FWD: C-Kermit & potato]

Hi Debian people,

Paul Flint, cc'd above, tells me you're having a problem with the C-Kermit
7.0 license? This is news to me, as the last (and only) word I had from
anybody at Debian, Vaidhyanathan Mayilrangam <vaidhy@loonys.net>, was that
everything was hunky-dory and C-Kermit 7.0 would be included in the next
Debian release. That was our intention with the new license, and that's
what I've been telling people. As you may know, the new license is OK with
most other [GNU/]Linux and *BSD distributors, including FreeBSD, SuSE,
Slackware, Mandrake, etc. Do we have a problem?

The C-Kermit 7.0 release is at:

  http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/ck70.html

and the new license is at:

  ftp://kermit.columbia.edu/kermit/f/COPYING.TXT

Take it, it's yours.

- Frank
