We should make a release when we think we're ready, but we should try our
_very_ best to avoid passing a deadline. This is Micro$oft policy, not ours.

I'd like to see a Debian release at _least_ twice a year. Is this asking for
to much? Don't think so. If every Debian release takes 8-9 months _and_ the
frozzen time is 2-3 months, by the time the new release is out, all the
packages will be 1) outdated or 2) not available because they're not allowed
in frozen.
I think this is a delicate subject, because we either want 1) to release a
solid rock distribution, or 2) to just release _something_ because it's been
to long since we didn't. We must/should find a solution somewhere along this
line, so that everybody is happy.
