Strange mount

Hi Folks,

did anyone ever tried this? Suppose you cd'ed into a directory which
acts as a mountpoint, e.g. /cdrom with no cdrom mounted yet. If this
mountpoint exists in your fstab you can do a

matt@thedude /cdrom> mount .
matt@thedude /cdrom> ls
ls: Bloodhound_gang: No such file or directory
ls: bodycount: No such file or directory
ls: clawfinger: No such file or directory
ls: dog_eat_dog: No such file or directory
ls: guns_n_roses: No such file or directory
ls: iron_maiden: No such file or directory
ls: metallica: No such file or directory
ls: rammstein: No such file or directory
ls: sepultura: No such file or directory
ls: type_o_negative: No such file or directory
matt@thedude /cdrom> cd ..; cd cdrom
matt@thedude /cdrom> ls
Bloodhound_gang clawfinger guns_n_roses metallica sepultura
bodycount dog_eat_dog iron_maiden rammstein type_o_negative
matt@thedude /cdrom>

Is that how it should be? Or is there an error in ls, since dir
(/bin/dir) just works fine?

wondering,

Matthias
