putting current version in depends/conflicts

In a Depends field, the expression "${shlibs:Depends}" inserts the
library dependencies for the package.

I need an expression to insert the current version of the package
described in this control file. Something like:

Package: libfoo
  :
  :
  :
Conflicts: libfoo-dev (<< ${<an expression that retrieves the version #>})

would be nice.

Anyone know what to put in for the <>? (any other solution accepted ;-)
