Here's the deal ... if I view them inline (as on the URL quoted above)
then they display just fine. However, if I right-click the image and
select "View Image (thinkpad.png)" I get a dialog box:
/home/synrg/.netscape/cache/0C/cacheblahblah.png unknown
or unsupported image type
I have a ~/.mailcap and ~/.mime.types, both of which just contain a few
things to deal with midi & RealAudio (not sure where these came from or
whether I need them anymore).
I have an /etc/mailcap with the following lines:
image/png; display '%s'; test=test -n "$DISPLAY"
image/png; /usr/bin/zgv '%s'; test=expr "`/usr/bin/tty`" :
'/dev/tty[0-9][0-9]*' >/dev/null 2>&1 || expr "$STY" :
'[0-9][0-9]*\.tty[0-9][0-9]*\.'`hostname`'$' >/dev/null 2>&1;
description=PNG Image; nametemplate=%s.png; needsterminal
image/png; xv '%s'; description="PNG Image"; test=test "$DISPLAY"
And I have an /etc/mime.types with:
image/png png
Clues anyone?
