Odd mail package involved? (was: dpkg/license related proposal)

Odd things have been happening with this person's emails (and the
other person at furryterror.org who chimed in on this thread); somehow,
the messages are having extra lines inserted into them, and this is
breaking up the header information. Consequently, this screws up my
standard mail-sorting rules.

Is anyone else having this problem? It appears to be happening
between debian's machines and my campus email receiver, but only for
mail from furryterror.org.

The headers and first few lines of the message follow; note that the
body begins with the second Date: line. Also note that the To:
address is not debian-devel@lists.debian.org, but is instead the
address that I subscribed to the list with; I suspect that it is
getting filled in from an smtp RCPT TO line.

Could this be some odd CR/LF issue, that somehow qmail on
lists.debian.org is expanding CR/LF into two lines (but if so, why
from only this source, and why isn't that screwing up the
header-parsing at lists.debian.org?)?
