new LaTeX2e

Hello all,

Now the new LaTeX2e (1999/06/01) was released at least
a month ago. What is the Debian's plan about LaTeX2e ?

Will Debian wait for new teTeX release or will Debian
upgrade part of LaTeX2e of teTeX ?

The present LaTeX2e of Debian shows

	This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.3.1)
	(simple.tex
	LaTeX2e <1998/12/01> patch level 1

and ltnews11.tex seems to fail to be compiled with Debian's
latex command.

My system is Potato and teTeX packages are;

nsx:~$ dpkg -l tetex* | grep ^ii
ii tetex-base 1.0-4 basic teTeX library files
ii tetex-bin 1.0.5-3 teTeX binary files
ii tetex-extra 1.0-4 extra teTeX library files
ii tetex-lib 1.0.5-3 shared libkpathsea for teTeX
ii  tetex-nonfree   1.0-4          non-free teTeX library files

Thanks in advance,		1999.8.19
