Harmut aren't you reading debian-cd ?
Do you know that YACS exist ? It does actually build potato CDs, but the
boot stuff will have to be modified for all arches and the README.arch
file will have to be written. You should consider stop modifying the CVS
and ask the changes that you need in YACS. I hope that YACS will be
more or less officialy blessed as the standard way of building Debian
CDs. We'll know more about this once YACS has been more tested/corrected
by Jim, Steve and the others.
I'd say that the boot people need more help than the CD ones ...
