Two thoughts... and I have no idea if they'd work or what they'd do in the

Move ALL package files to /usr/share/doc.  Symlink /usr/doc to
/usr/share/doc.  You'll have to manually removed /usr/doc at some point but
that should get a single system up and running...

Another option, set up an alias for http://localhost/share/doc (or
doc/share or... anything you want) to point to one dirctory... of course,
you'll have two different places to look each time you want to read

I havn't done either, but these two ideas popped into my head as quick
personal solutions for someone know knows how to work Linux.
