I think the major issue is not whether or not we use it, but that there
is *no* documentation at all for it. Search the maillist archives does
NOT count as documentation. I realize that people are busy but sticking
a copy of the "official" e-mail in /usr/doc/dpkg-dev or on a link
from the developer's corner on the website would have been less time
comsuming than all this discussion!
