I look at it the other way. The GPL's been around for quite some time.
It's written in fairly simple English and is a known quantity. If someone
misuses/misreads the license to cause a problem, that problem is hardly the
GPL's fault.
The KDE situation could -- and I hope it is -- be solved very quickly and
fairly easily if there existed the will to do so. Changing the GPL (thus
impacting thousands of programs and an entire software genre) is not the
proper solution, IMHO.
