This is an artifact of the kernel handing "control" of the mouse back and
forth between gpm and X.  This often happens in the middle of a packet of
info from the mouse, and therefore looks like corrupt data.

If you are not experiencing problems, you need not do anything about this.
Otherwise, see /usr/doc/xfree86-common/FAQ in the latest xfree86-common
package (3.3.3.1-3).
