My setup involves magicfilter, the regular lpr/lpd system, magicfilter,
and gs. On a remote, SMB-accesible DeskJet 600C (which is not *explicitly*
supported in magicfilter), I can get text, gzipped PS, and almost
definitely anything else I care to install the support programs for.
