Dunno. It was in Christian's list for policy adoption, then he left and
I didn't follow the policy list so close...
there were also some minor problems (like permissions of locks) that
nobody was interested to discuss :-)

It would be nice if you try to see how it works with your packages ...
... I will clean up the code a little, in the meanwhile. :-)
