	Lintian is not perfect-- there have been errors in the past. 
And there are borderline cases which cause it to report an error.  For some
reason, which I never figured out, changing permissions on some files in a
perl module to satisfy lintian causes the module to break.  (otoh, there may
be a technical solution to this)   Some  errors take time to
fix and should not slow the development of the entire system.
