one thing though, we shouldn't use /usr/bin/gnome. it's really annoying
to have a mile-long $path; binaries are easy enough to give a common
prefix (/usr/bin/gpanel instead of /usr/bin/panel, for example), and
this is always nicer for everyone unless you have a private binary
(which should be in libexec by rights, no)?
