Oops, didn't get this. I thought you were talking about a package only
containing the mode.

That's it. Then of course it is okay. But if you advocate for pcmcia-cs
depending on libforms (there is no xforms package anymore :-)) you have to
ask for a depends: here also.

Sounds great. Could you please back up this statement by either citing the
policy or going back into history and proving that your way is the way
Debian handles stuff? I'm afraid you won't be able to.
