I have expected this question. :-) That's why I was using the newest
version directly from master: /debian/debian/dists/slink/main/binary-i386/Packages

And this one contains:

Package: xlockmore-gl
Version: 4.12-1
Priority: optional
Section: x11
Maintainer: Herbert Xu <herbert@debian.org>
Depends: libc6, mesag2 (>= 2.6), xlib6g (>= 3.3-5), xpm4g (>= 3.4j-0)
Suggests: fortune
Conflicts: xlockmore
Provides: xlockmore
Replaces: xlockmore
Architecture: i386
Filename: dists/frozen/main/binary-i386/x11/xlockmore-gl_4.12-1.deb
Size: 578202
MD5sum: 95bf3dbc5c42957962066f36b7795380
Description: Lock X11 display until password is entered -- GL version

Please prove that slink contains a different version of xlockmore-gl.
The version you referred to is only available in potato.
