Mirror things
As an experiment I have created http.us.debian.org. The source list line
for APT is:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
It is a rotating dns entry between a set of push mirrors in the US. I
would like to know how well this works for people so please try it out and
let me know. It will likely be the future APT default.
Each time you run APT it will randomly select one of the sites and use it
for the duration OF THAT RUN, the next run will use another site.
Wakko{jgg}/mnt/Big/home/jgg#host http.us.debian.org
http.us.debian.org A 208.146.80.105
http.us.debian.org A 130.199.80.49
[I'll add more as they become available]
