Re: Deleting uncompressed Info/Doc files at upgrades

Hi,

If all you want is to make sure that the files you
uncompressed are re-uncompressed after an upgrade, or are removed
after they are gone, a simple shell script can do this. You can then
run it out of cron, or manually after an upgrade. Simple.

Even with bells and whistles and all the script is likely to
be less than 100 lines. No need to mangle dpkg, and impose local
anomalies (deleting a compressed file, and creating an uncompressed
file with the contents f the former) and handling thereof on the rest
 of us.
