Stepping down as Enlightenment maintainer
I am stepping down as the maintainer of the Enlightenment debs and the
libraries that go with it. It has become apparent that E and I are going in
two different directions. So I have found two people who I have known for a
good while and are both very eager to help Debian and Enlightenment. Tynian
(bma@debian.org) is taking over Imlib, Fnlib, and Stringlist as well as E for
the time being. llane (whom we all know and love from #E and #Debian) will be
taking over E once he is officially a Debian developer.
Now as things change, they also get better. Tynian and llane are working on
having E et. al. made from CVS daily. It will be as easy as adding a line
to /etc/apt/sources.list, and voila debs of E on demand (-:
Eterm, Emonitor, xphoon, x-chat, and chameleon are still packaged by me.
Expect a new Eterm deb (and its bgs) soon.
There are no hard feelings involved with this. Rather I am no longer the right
person for the job. You all need someone who likes what he is packaging.
Frankly I never ran the E 14 version at all, and used E 15 for about three days.
