We already have.  I guess you're not reading debian-devel-changes.

Anyway, having the whole distribution in a public accessable cvs
repository it orthogonal with auto-building packages.  However public
cvs repositories will ensure that old versions don't get lost and that
everyone is able to checkout an old version if the current doesn't work.

But anyway, I completely misunderstood David.
