I have about a third of the update-inetd program written.  I'm 
stalled right now, because of the lack of abstraction in the
underlying program, and because I'm suddenly more busy.

The right approach, I think, is to define some kind of abstraction
and declare buggy any programs that don't qualify.  But like I said
I'm kinda busy at the moment.

If anyone wants to pick up the effort, I can ship them a copy of
what I've done so far (or I will if I can figure out where I left
it -- it's not where I thought I'd left it .. bleah).
