MIPS/SGI stuff

after thinking about it more, i think if the MIPS port ever gets underway,
it should start as an SGI-only port, and perhaps expand later.

any thoughts?

i'm *hoping* to get an indigo at a discounted rate, since i'm so very very
strapped for cash, and found a very kind man who i assume likes linux =)
i'm currently trying to find out how hard it would be to get stuff going
on an indigo - as the SGI/Linux (read: readhat) people aren't so
enthusiastic about the older chips (indys use R4600 chips, i believe)
