Umm, I think so. I have read how paranoid people are about
sticking to stable for their production platforms; so asking people
to switch a plethora of programs to unstable would be a bit much,
especially if the programs have been updated significantly. So I
think back porting may be important if we do not go with the
symlinks-to-old location route.
