Er, yes.  I remembered that the program had *something* to do with
CD's :-).  I noticed pretty soon that xcdroast != cdparanoia, and
filed a bug against the former, but I had not figured out where the
latter was.

Yes, I only ran the test against hamm/{main,contrib,non-free}.  It
took 10-15 minutes in all.  You are welcome to run it against slink
too.  Something like this:

  zgrep HDIO_GET_IDENTITY {main,contrib,non-free}/source/*/*orig* >>~/hits
