Building them is no problem if you are not constrained to remain in the
current release. I'm sure Red Hat does not feel so constrained, while we
clearly do.

It is simply a matter of having an ancient enough system to accomodate the
build. I suspect that 1.2 is about right, and I will try to build one this
weekend and see what gives.
