Come on, 74 K is nearly nothing. Compare that to xbook (15 MB).

It took about 15 minutes going trough all packages here. The server
could scan each incomming package and put the info somewhere,
overwriting/deleting the old info. Then it could 'cat <somewhere>/* |
gzip -9 >du-of-all-packages', which should take hardly any time.
